In this project I used the small amount of InDesign knowledge I had gained from my previous editorial as well as photoshop knowledge I already had to edit my images for this project. However, I feel as though my images could have greatly been improved on if I was able to work in a studio over the break, I would have benefitted from more consistent lighting and renting a camera from the main site again. This would have eliminated the lighting issues I had due to changes in natural lighting and made it so I had to edit my images to match. If I had had access to better lighting, I probably could’ve used raw images in my InDesign spreads, allowing me to experiment more with different imagery. My images could be improved by adjusting the texture of the background, I feel as though the texture of the crepe paper I used as my backdrop affected the main focus of my images and I tried my best to adjust it to look as natural as possible in photoshop. If I had to title my photo set, it would have to have something to do with the cleanliness of the act of doing laundry but also juxtapose this, so maybe I would call it ‘’Dirty Money’’.

All In all my photo set is meant to be a visually surreal recounting a bank robbery, with the bright colours of my layout causing a stark juxtaposition to the typical ‘’all black’’ attire robbers are usually depicted with. I wanted to work with a more colourful colour palette for this project as I have found myself working with darker more muted tones throughout my projects on foundation. I feel like I was successful in this as the colour palette didn’t distract from the theme and in fact pulled it all together when I found out the washing machines in the Camberwell Laundromat were pastel yellow.
